                              September, 2016

Dear Students,

The administration, teachers and staff would like to welcome you to Daniel Boone High School and the 2016 –
2017 school year. We welcome you to another exciting year filled with new opportunities to excel in our
academic, athletic, music and arts programs. We provide you and your parents with this handbook to assist in
further understanding our educational program, extracurricular activities, regulations and academic
requirements of the high school.

This handbook will be most effective for you if you read it carefully and then discuss those topics that are
relevant to your particular circumstances. You are surrounded at Daniel Boone High School by people who are
here to support you, and help you maximize your opportunities. Take some time to get to know the people
around you, your teachers, support staff, and administrators. Embrace the people you trust and inspire you to
be the very best, to maximize your potential.

The faculty and staff look forward to serving you as a member of the Daniel High School family. We thank you
for your cooperation, involvement, and focus on learning. Best wishes for success!

Sincerely,

Mr. Preston McKnight
